Who are we?
Rhema Christian School is a five day Kindergarten-5th grade school serving Christian families in Columbia, South Carolina where spiritual formation is integrated throughout the school day in all subject areas.
We want children to have the option to grow in their Christian faith, put it into practice, and lead others to do the same thing. We want students to know their identity is in Christ and not this world. We want them believing in themselves as much as we do, knowing they were born for such a time as this.
Rhema is a Greek word used in the Bible meaning the spoken Word of God. I chose this word because in 2019 the Holy Spirit gave me the idea of the school. What seemed like a fleeting thought and a wild dream, God continued to give me confirmation that this was His idea and not mine.
John 6:63
“…the Words (rhema) that I speak to you are spirit and life…”
God can speak to us through scripture, praising Him with our voice, drawing, praying, and when we are still. (“Be still and know I am God…” Psalm 46:10) We begin each day in Adoration praising Him for all of His wonderful attributes.
Through differentiated learning strategies and a Biblical, Spirit-led approach, we help children discover their identity in Christ and their love of learning; therefore building them up as disciples of Jesus Christ.
Students' hearts will be nurtured, their lives transformed, and their faith strengthened as they learn to take initiative in their everyday lives for the Kingdom of God and in their future endeavours.

We welcome you to Rhema Christian School in Columbia, South Carolina. We are an innovative Christian school where children explore, wonder, and create as they learn in the presence of God.
Our teachers and staff apply no labels on the child. As we respect these little image bearers of God, we identify the gold in him/her calling forth their God-given potential.
